5 Print photos using the front USB port You can transfer photos from a digital camera, external card reader, or USB flash drive to your computer, and then print them. For more information, check the following topics: • About the front USB port • Print photos from the front USB port • About the front USB port lights About the front USB port To transfer photos from a digital camera, external card reader, or USB flash drive, to your computer, just plug the camera or other device into the printer's front USB port. You can then print the photos using HP Photosmart Software. Print photos using the front USB port In order to transfer photos from your digital camera to the computer for printing, using the front USB port, you need a USB cable that is compatible with your camera. HP recommends that you use a cable that is less than 3 meters long.
