Touchpad NOTE: The touchpad spare part kit does not include the touchpad cable. The touchpad cable is available using spare part number L87955-001. Touchpads that are included with keyboard/top covers with wood veneer cannot be replaced. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 37). 2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover and rubber feet on page 38). 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 39). To remove the touchpad: 1. Disconnect the touchpad cable from the touchpad connector on the system board (1). 2. Remove the two Phillips M1.6 × 3.0 screws (2) and the two Phillips M1.6 × 2.0 screws (3) that secure the touchpad bracket to the computer. 3. Remove the touchpad bracket from the computer (4). 4. Remove the three broadhead Phillips M1.6 × 2.5 screws (5) that secure the touchpad to the computer. 5.
