It is divided into the following subsections: • CD-ROM drive and CD-ROM media descriptions • Operating the CD-ROM Drive • Mounting and unmounting a CD-ROM disc • Troubleshooting Be sure you read and understand the information on mounting and unmounting CD-ROM discs before you begin using your CD-ROM disc drive. This chapter provides an overview of the optional CD-ROM drive and media, and describes how to use the CD-ROM drive. We assume the CDROM drive is set to the factory default address of SCSI ID 2. Some procedures in this chapter require you to log in as root. If you cannot log in as root, contact your system administrator. 8-2
