FTP File Transfer Transfer Settings Menu Clicking the Settings button will display the Transfer Settings dialog box. This enables you to specify how file names are treated, how information is displayed in the local and remote directory list boxes, and whether carriage return characters are stripped from ASCII files. Lowercase conversion Factory default: Off File names that incorporate uppercase characters may cause transfer problems on some systems, for example DOS machines. Selecting this option will cause all uppercase characters in the name of the file to be converted to lowercase during the transfer process. Directory Detail Factory default: All The local and remote directory list boxes displays information on each file and directory by default. You can prevent this information from being displayed so that only the file and directory names are shown by setting this option to Short. 24-8
