Disable - NetBEUI Protocol Enable - TCP/IP Protocol Enable - Wins Client (TCP/IP) Enable - Marathon Datagram Services Enable - Marathon Ethernet Provider Disable - MTCEtx driver New Network Adapter (for dedicated backup CE network) Disable - NetBEUI Protocol Disable - TCP/IP Protocol Disable - Wins Client (TCP/IP) Enable - Marathon Datagram Services Enable - Marathon Ethernet Provider Disable - MTCEtx driver After completing the adapter bindings, then configure a unique IP address for each dedicated IOP NIC. For dedicated backup CE NIC (one in each IOP because mirrored for AA), use the Marathon manager in IOP1 and IOP2 to configure a second NIC into the CE. Next, go into CE network properties and add an additional Marathon MTCETHR Virtual Adapter. Set up the adapter bindings as follows. Marathon MtcVnR (for internal communication between IOP1 and CE) Enable - NetBEUI Protocol Disable - TCP/IP Protocol Disable - Wins Client (TCP/IP) Marathon MtcVnR (for internal communication between IOP2 and CE) Enable - NetBEUI Protocol Disable - TCP/IP Protocol Disable - Wins Client (TCP/IP) Marathon MTCETHR Virtual Adapter (public LAN on CE) Enable - NetBEUI Protocol Enable - TCP/IP Protocol Enable - Wins Client (TCP/IP) Marathon MTCETHR Virtual Adapter (private backup LAN on CE) Enable - NetBEUI Protocol Enable - TCP/IP Protocol Enable - Wins Client (TCP/IP) Set up a separate IP address (different than the original CE user IP) for the dedicated backup network.
