Left speaker Description Speaker Kit (includes left and right speakers) Spare part number 857474-001 Before removing the speaker, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the following components: a. Battery (see Battery on page 37) b. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 38) c. Base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 40) d. Disconnect the WLAN cable (see WLAN module on page 47) e. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 42) f. SSD (see SSD (M.2) on page 44) g. Remove the fan (see Fan on page 52) h. Remove the heat sink for discrete graphics memory (see Heat sink for discrete graphics memory on page 53) Remove the left speaker: 1. Carefully disconnect the left speaker cable (1) from the computer. 2. Remove the two Phillips M2.0x4 screws (2) from the speaker. Component replacement procedures 55
