Inserting Disc 1 1. Turn on your printer and the computer, and start Windows. 2. Insert the CD labeled Software Disc 1 into your CD-ROM drive. The hp dvd-writer Installation Splash screen appears briefly, then the Installation menu appears (see Figure 14). NOTE: If Auto Insert Notification is turned on for your CD-ROM drive, the first screen will appear automatically.
