Installing the Printer Software on Each Client Computer Make sure you have installed printer software on the host and shared the printer before you install the printer software on the client. Add Printer Installation You can install a locally shared printer on the client computers using the Add Printer installation. The Add Printer installation is the most compatible with different operating systems. Note: You can also use the Point and Print installation to install printer software directly from the host computer on client computers running Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0.
