Installing the software on a Windows computer 1 Insert the HP photosmart 318 CD into your computer's CDROM drive. The installation window automatically appears. If the installation window does not appear, use Windows Explorer or My Computer to locate your CD-ROM drive, and then double-click the file Setup.exe. 2 Click Next, and then follow the instructions on the screen to install the software. The software places several icons on your desktop, including a link to the photo imaging Quick Reference. To install the bonus software Certain versions of the camera are shipped with bonus software. 1 Press and hold the SHIFT key on your computer keyboard while you insert the HP photosmart 318 CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive. If the automatic installation starts, click Cancel. 2 Click Start, click Run, and in the Open box, type X:\Bonus\setup.exe (where X is the drive letter assigned to your CD-ROM drive). 3 Click OK, and then follow the instructions on the screen to install the software. Connecting the camera to a Windows computer Before connecting the camera to your computer, make sure you have installed the software.
