Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 22). 5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 23). Remove the TouchPad: 1. Disconnect the TouchPad cable from the TouchPad board (1). 2. Remove the five Phillips M2.0×2.0 screws (2) that secure the TouchPad to the computer. TouchPad 41

Before removing the TouchPad, follow these steps:
1.
Turn

the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is

Remove the TouchPad:

Disconnect the TouchPad cable from the TouchPad board
