After an NDCLA operation is complete, management connections must be re-initiated: • QuickTools sessions will re-connect automatically • Telnet sessions must be restarted manually. Future switch firmware releases will support non-disruptive upgrades unless specifically indicated in its associated release notes. An NDCLA operation to earlier switch firmware releases is not supported. The Load Firmware dialog box (Figure 39) enables you to select and install a firmware image file. To open the Load Firmware dialog box for an individual switch, select Switch > Load Firmware. When the Load Firmware dialog box is opened, the path displayed in the Firmware Image Folder field is automatically searched for firmware image files that can be installed. The default path to search for firmware image files is the user's working directory. To change the search path: 1. Click Browse and select a new path. 2. Click Rescan to search the folder displayed in the Firmware Image Folder field. The firmware image files found are listed in and can be selected from the Version drop-down list. In the Load Firmware dialog box, choose one of the following: • Select a firmware image file from the Version drop-down list. • To change the folder (path), click Browse to search for a different firmware image file, select the desired folder, and then click Rescan to search the selected folder. 3. Click Start to begin the firmware load process. You will be shown a message indicating the type of reset required in order to activate the firmware. 4. Click OK to continue the firmware installation. 5. Click Close to close the Load Firmware dialog box. Using Call Home The Call Home feature enables you to configure switches to send alerts and events to pagers and email. You can configure the types of events to cover and where to send the alerts. Use the Call Home Setup dialog box (Figure 40) to configure call home parameters. To display the Call Home Setup dialog box, open the Switch menu, select Call Home > Setup. 82 Managing switches
