2-5 2-6 E 2-7 H F G Variable speed control The variable speed control (E) is located on top of the cleaner. Slide the control toward - to reduce energy consumption and to clean lightly soiled areas or delicate fabrics. Slide the control toward + for maxi- mum cleaning power in heavily soiled areas. If the floor nozzle is difficult to push, slide the control toward -. 2-8 Cleaning tools Tool storage Lift tool lid to reveal tool storage compartment. Suction regulator The suction regulator on the wand allows the user to reduce suction when necessary. Open the suction regulator for less suction when cleaning lightweight fabrics or throw rugs. Close the suction regulator for maximum suction. A variety of useful cleaning tools is included with your cleaner. These tools and their uses are shown below: 2-9 1 2 3 Selecting tools 1. Crevice tool may be used in tight spaces, corners and along edges in such places as dresser drawers, upholstered furniture, stairs and baseboards. Wand storage clip The wand storage clip (F) fits into the slot (G) at the rear of the cleaner or the slot (H) on the bottom of the cleaner. 2. Furniture nozzle may be used for upholstered furniture, draperies, tapestries, mattresses, clothing, automobile interiors and carpeted stairs. 3. Dusting brush may be used for carved furniture, table tops, books, lamps, lighting fixtures, venetian blinds, baseboards, shutters and registers. 2-10 2-11 Attaching tools The tools, including floor nozzle, are attached to the hose or the wand in the same manner.
