1. Turn the adjustment screw for the oil pump. Use a screwdriver or combination wrench. a) Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to decrease the chain oil flow. b) Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise to increase the chain oil flow. To clean the cooling system The cooling system keeps the engine temperature down. The cooling system includes the air intake on the starter (A) and the air guide plate (B), the pawls on the flywheel (C), the cooling fins on the cylinder (D) and the cylinder cover (E). +- E D B A Air cleaning system AirInjection™ is a centrifugal air cleaning system that removes dust and dirt before the particles are caught by C the air filter. AirInjection™ extends the life of the air filter and the engine. 1. Clean the cooling system with a brush weekly or more frequently if it is necessary. 2. Make sure that the cooling system is not dirty or blocked. CAUTION: A dirty or blocked cooling system can make the product too hot, which can cause damage to the product. Troubleshooting The engine does not start Product part to examine Starter pawls Possible cause The starter pawls are blocked. Action Adjust or replace the starter pawls. Clean around the pawls.
