Supported Servers and Operating Systems The 3580 Ultrium 2 Tape Drive attaches to many servers and many operating systems. To determine the latest supported attachments, visit the web at http://www.ibm.com/storage/lto and click on Technical Support or LTO Support. For specific instructions about attaching the tape drive, see Chapter 2, "Installing the 3580 Ultrium 2 Tape Drive", on page 5. Supported Device Drivers IBM offers device drivers for the 3580 Ultrium 2 Tape Drive. Device drivers enable the drive to interact with a variety of servers. To properly install an IBM device driver (if required), refer to the IBM Ultrium Device Drivers Installation and User's Guide. For applications that use other device drivers, see the application's documentation to determine which drivers to use. IBM maintains the latest levels of device drivers and driver documentation for the IBM TotalStorage Ultrium 2 tape products on the Internet. You can access this material from your browser or through the IBM FTP site by performing one of the following procedures.
