End users can implement mail file rules to act on any spam that might have passed through the spam prevention measures configured on the server. 3.2 Domino 6 messaging components In this section we describe the messaging components used by Domino 6 to help you control spam. The Domino 6 anti-spam components are activated at three different points during the reception of an incoming message. Spam can be controlled by: 1. The SMTP Listener when incoming connections are established 2. The SMTP Server when messages are placed into MAIL.BOX 3. The Router when messages are moved from MAIL.BOX to individual mail files Figure 3-2 is a graphical depiction of Domino 6 anti-spam messaging components.
