11 WLAN SETTING IC-M510 can expand the functions such as NMEA 2000, Hailer, and so on by connecting to the CT-M500 with WLAN. IC-M510 can also be connected with mobile devices to communicate. 1 NOTE: Install the transceiver within approximately 15 meters (49.2 ft) meters from the CT-M500, and in a place where there are no obstacles between the transceiver and the 2 CT-M500. IC-M510 can expand the functions such as NMEA 2000, Hailer, and so on by connecting
to the CT-M500 with WLAN.
IC-M510 can also be connected with mobile devices to communicate.
NOTE
: Install the transceiver within approximately 15 meters (49.2 ft) meters from the
CT-M500, and in a place where there are no obstacles between the transceiver and the
CT-M500.
To expand the communication range, use a user supplied wireless access point.
Connecting to the IC-M510
When connecting to the CT-M500 or the RS-M500, select whether to use Access Point
mode or Client mode.

the transceiver.

CT-M500 and a mobile device can only connect to IC-M510’s in the Access Point mode.

A maximum of 4 mobile devices and a CT-M500 can be connected to the IC-M510.

“TKIP/AES” method is automatically applied for the Access Point mode.

Open the “Function” screen.
[MENU] > Settings > WLAN >
Function

Push [▲] or [▼], or rotate [CH/ENT] to select “ON,”
and then push [ENT] or [CH/ENT].
• “ON” is set, and the transceiver returns to the previous
screen.

Push [▲] or [▼], or rotate [CH/ENT] to select
“Advanced Settings,” and then push [ENT], [CH/ENT],
or [►].
4.
Select “Configuration” then push [ENT], [CH/ENT], or
[►].
5.
Select “Access Point.”
• “Access Point Settings” screen is displayed.
