11 WLAN SETTING IC-M510 can expand the functions such as NMEA 2000, Hailer, and so on by connecting to the CT-M500 with WLAN. IC-M510 can also be connected with mobile devices to communicate. 1 NOTE: Install the transceiver within approximately 15 meters (49.2 ft) meters from the CT-M500, and in a place where there are no obstacles between the transceiver and the 2 CT-M500. To expand the communication range, use a user supplied wireless access point. 3 4 ■■ Connecting to the IC-M510 When connecting to the CT-M500 or the RS-M500, select whether to use Access Point 5 mode or Client mode. LL See the RS-M500 INSTALLATION MANUAL for details on connecting the mobile device to 6 the transceiver. 7 DDAccess Point mode 8 CT-M500 and a mobile device can only connect to IC-M510's in the Access Point mode. LL A maximum of 4 mobile devices and a CT-M500 can be connected to the IC-M510. LL "TKIP/AES" method is automatically applied for the Access Point mode. 9 10 11 12 CT-M500 IC-M510 RS-M500 13 1. Open the "Function" screen. 14 [MENU] > Settings > WLAN > Function 15 2. Push [▲] or [▼], or rotate [CH/ENT] to select "ON," and then push [ENT] or [CH/ENT]. 16 ••"ON" is set, and the transceiver returns to the previous screen. 17 3. Push [▲] or [▼], or rotate [CH/ENT] to select 18 "Advanced Settings," and then push [ENT], [CH/ENT], or [►]. 4. Select "Configuration" then push [ENT], [CH/ENT], or [►]. 5.
