Blu-Ray Disc Player Connecting a TV using a component video cable (better) Notes • • The following task shows connecting the audio to a receiver. If you want to use the TV speakers instead of a receiver, connect the audio cable to the TV's audio in jacks on the TV. High definition video (up to 1080i) is supported with a component video cable. Using a digital audio receiver To connect a component-capable TV to a digital audio receiver: 1 Connect a component video cable to the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks on the back of your player and to the COMPONENT VIDEO IN jacks on the TV. Digital audio receiver Using an analog audio receiver To connect a component-capable TV to an analog audio receiver: 1 Connect a component video cable to the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks on the back of your player and to the COMPONENT VIDEO IN jacks on the TV. Analog audio receiver Audio cable Back of player Back of player Connect the OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT jack OR COAXIAL DIGITAL OUT jack Component video cable Component video cable TV 2 Connect an audio cable to the AUDIO OUT L/R jacks on the back of your player and to the AUDIO IN L/R jacks on the receiver. TV 2 Connect a digital optical cable from the OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT jack on the back of your player to the OPTICAL DIGITAL IN jack on the receiver. Using a digital audio receiver
To connect a component-capable TV to a digital
audio receiver:

Connect a component video cable to the
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT
jacks on the back of
your player and to the
COMPONENT VIDEO IN
jacks on the TV.

Connect a digital optical cable from the
OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT
jack on the back of your
player to the
OPTICAL DIGITAL IN
jack on the
receiver.
Or
Connect a digital coaxial cable from the
COAXIAL DIGITAL OUT
jack on the back of your
player to the
COAXIAL DIGITAL IN
jack on the
receiver.
Using an analog audio receiver
To connect a component-capable TV to an
analog audio receiver:

Connect a component video cable to the
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT
jacks on the back of
your player and to the
COMPONENT VIDEO IN
jacks on the TV.

Connect an audio cable to the
AUDIO OUT L/R
jacks on the back of your player and to the
AUDIO IN L/R
jacks on the receiver.
Notes
The following task shows connecting the audio
to a receiver. If you want to use the TV speakers
