Installing a Tape Drive To install a tape drive into your server system, your system must meet the following requirements: • You must purchase the tape drive kit, order number ADRTAPEKIT. • You must purchase a 3.5-inch tape drive. • You must have an add-in card that supports a tape drive. After purchasing the tape drive kit and the tape drive, use the instructions below to install them. In addition to these instructions, refer to the instructions that came with your tape drive for additional requirements. 1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See "Safety Information". 2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable(s). 3. Remove the front bezel if it is installed.
