Chapter 4 - BRI Commands HWCC HWID This command returns the country code information that is stored in the reader device. This code is used to determine the region text returned from the HWREGION command. For more information, go to "HWREGION" on page 48. Purpose: This command returns a unique identifier that represents the reader module. The response is a line of characters of arbitrary length determined by the reader. Note: For the IF61 or 70 Series RFID, you can view the serial number of the module printed on the label of the device. Syntax: HWID Example: Readers with serial BRI in the module (IM4, IM5, IM11-OEM) reports both the hardware configuration string and serial number: OK>HWID CN-IM11A200002 SN-JRW00000000 OK> Network readers report only the configuration string: OK>HWID CN-IF2A400014 OK> HWPROD Purpose: Syntax: Example: This command returns the product name of the reader. Basic Reader Interface Programmer Reference Manual
HWCC
This command returns the country code information that is stored in the reader
device. This code is used to determine the region text returned from the

HWID
Purpose:
This command returns a unique identifier that represents the reader module. The

Example:
Readers with serial BRI in the module (IM4, IM5, IM11-OEM) reports both the
hardware configuration string and serial number:

Network readers report only the configuration string:

HWPROD
Purpose:
This command returns the product name of the reader.

HWREGION
Purpose:
This command returns the region data for the reader.
