Chapter 4 - BRI Commands ANTTIMEOUT This example tells the reader to read or write tags using the antenna pattern specified: ATTRIBUTE ANTS=1,2,1,3,1,4,1 Sets the maximum time period (ms) during which each antenna is used for a READ or WRITE command. The maximum value for this attribute is 65534. Default is 50. For help setting this attribute, see "Understanding the Timeouts and Tries" on page 99. Note: This attribute applies only if TIMEOUTMODE is enabled. Otherwise, ANTTRIES applies. ANTTRIES Sets the number of times each antenna is used for a READ or WRITE command. Range is 1 to 254. Default is 3. For example: ATTRIBUTE ANTTRIES=4 For help setting this attribute, see "Understanding the Timeouts and Tries" on page 99. Note: This attribute applies only if TIMEOUTMODE is disabled. Otherwise, ANTTIMEOUT applies. BAUD Note: If your BRI application communicates with the reader over a TCP connection, you cannot modify this attribute from the default. For details, see "BRI TCP Applications" on page 3. Sets the reader baud rate for serial readers. You can set this parameter to 19200, 38400, 57600, or 115200. Default is 115200. For example: ATTRIBUTE BAUD=115200 OK> The baud rate change takes effect after the OK> is transmitted. This allows the host time to change its baud rate before sending the next BRI command. Chapter 4 — BRI Commands
Basic Reader Interface Programmer Reference Manual
87
This example tells the reader to read or write tags using the antenna pattern
specified:
ATTRIBUTE ANTS=1,2,1,3,1,4,1<CRLF>
ANTTIMEOUT
Sets the maximum time period (ms) during which each antenna is used for a READ
or WRITE command. The maximum value for this attribute is 65534. Default is 50.
For help setting this attribute, see
“Understanding the Timeouts and Tries” on
page 99
.
ANTTRIES
Sets the number of times each antenna is used for a READ or WRITE command.
Range is 1 to 254. Default is 3.
For example:
ATTRIBUTE ANTTRIES=4
For help setting this attribute, see
“Understanding the Timeouts and Tries” on
page 99
.
BAUD
Sets the reader baud rate for serial readers. You can set this parameter to 19200,
38400, 57600, or 115200. Default is 115200.
For example:
ATTRIBUTE BAUD=115200<CRLF>
OK><CRLF>
The baud rate change takes effect after the OK><CRLF> is transmitted. This allows
the host time to change its baud rate before sending the next BRI command.
Note:
This attribute applies only if TIMEOUTMODE is enabled. Otherwise,
ANTTRIES applies.
Note:
This attribute applies only if TIMEOUTMODE is disabled. Otherwise,
ANTTIMEOUT applies.
Note:
If your BRI application communicates with the reader over a TCP connection,
you cannot modify this attribute from the default. For details, see
“BRI TCP
Applications” on page 3
.
