English Available DSP Modes According to the Speaker Arrangement Available DSP modes will vary depending on how many speakers are used with this receiver. Make sure that you have set the speaker information correctly (see page 14). Speaker arrangements Front TV Front speaker speaker Available DSP modes Each time you press DSP MODE on the front panel or SURROUND MODE on the remote control, the DSP modes change as follows: • 3D THEATER • LIVE CLUB • DANCE CLUB • HALL • PAVILION • 3D ACTION (or 3D DIGITAL) • DSP OFF (DSP mode is canceled) Front speaker TV Center speaker Front speaker Front TV speaker Front speaker Rear speaker Rear speaker Each time you press DSP MODE on the front panel or SURROUND MODE on the remote control, the DSP modes change as follows: By pressing DSP MODE: • THEATER (or DIG THEATER) • LIVE CLUB • DANCE CLUB • HALL • PAVILION • 3D ACTION (or 3D DIGITAL) • DSP OFF (DSP mode is canceled) To activate the Surround mode, press DOLBY SURROUND button so that the lamp on the button lights up. By pressing SURROUND MODE: • DOLBY SURROUND (DOLBY PRO LOGIC, DOLBY DIGITAL) • THEATER (or DIG THEATER) • LIVE CLUB • DANCE CLUB • HALL • PAVILION • 3D ACTION (or 3D DIGITAL) • DSP OFF (DSP mode is canceled) To activate the Surround mode, you can also use the SURROUND ON/OFF button. Front speaker TV Center speaker Front speaker Rear speaker Rear speaker Note on the center speaker sound when using the DAP modes: Sounds come out of the center speaker only if the following take place at the same time: • If "CENTER SPK" is set to "LARGE" or "SMALL." • If the center channel signals come into this receiver ( C of the signal indicators lights up - see page 10) while playing a multi-sound source encoded with Dolby Digital. In this case, you cannot adjust the center speaker output level. 22
