Return to the Top page Troubleshooting ññ Troubleshooting Problems and Solutions If any trouble occurs, first check the following table for possible problems. • Some functions of this unit may be disabled by some settings made on this unit. • What might seem to be a malfunction in your unit may just be the result of slight misoperation or miswiring. ÑÑAbout settings Problem Reason • Cannot set up the subwoofer. Subwoofer is not set • Cannot set up subwoofer phase. to on. • No output from the subwoofer. The dual zone function is enabled. • Cannot set up the low pass filter. Solution Set the subwoofer to on. See Speaker setup (P.135). Set the dual zone function to off. See Zone Control (P.139). • Cannot set up the high pass filter. • Cannot select the output destination of the subsource in the dual zone. The dual zone function Set the dual zone function to on. is disabled. See Zone Control (P.139). • Cannot adjust the volume of the rear speakers. • Cannot set up the equalizer. • Cannot set up the crossover network. The dual zone function is enabled. "DSP Select" is set to "Bypass". Set the dual zone function to off. See Zone Control (P.139). Set "DSP Select" to "Through". See DSP select (P.137). ÑÑAbout audio operations Problem Radio reception is poor. Cannot play audio files stored in a disc. Cannot select a folder. Reason The car antenna is not extended. The antenna control wire is not connected. "CD Read" is set to "2". The random play function is enabled. Cannot perform repeat play during VCD playback. The specified disc does not play, but another one plays instead. The PBC function is enabled. The disc is quite dirty. The disc is severely scratched. Solution Pull out the antenna all the way. Connect the wire correctly. See "Connection" in the Quick Start Guide. Set "CD Read" to "1". See Disc setup (P.71). Turn off the random function. Turn off the PBC function. Clean the disc. See Precautions on handling discs (P.4). Try another disc instead. 148
