Registering Special bluetooth device Allow registration of a special device that cannot be registered normally (pairing). 1 Enter Bluetooth mode KDC-X895 KDC-BT848U Press the [ ] button. KDC-X595 KDC-448U Press the [LOG] button for at least 1 second. "BT MODE" is displayed. 2 Enter Function setting mode Press the Control knob for at least 1 second. 3 Select Special device registration mode The item can be selected and determined as follows. "Settings" > "Pairing" > "SPCL Device Select" To select the item, turn the Control knob. To determine the item, press the Control knob. 4 Select a desired device name Turn the Control knob to select device name, and then press the Control knob. If "Completed" is displayed, registration is completed. 5 Go through the procedure of (page 46) and complete the registration (pairing). Cancelling Bluetooth mode Press the [SRC] button. ⁄ • If the device name is not in the list, select "Other Phones". Registering PIN Code By operating the Bluetooth device, specify the PIN code necessary for registering this unit. 1 Enter Bluetooth mode KDC-X895 KDC-BT848U Press the [ ] button. KDC-X595 KDC-448U Press the [LOG] button for at least 1 second. "BT MODE" is displayed. 2 Enter Function setting mode Press the Control knob for at least 1 second. 3 Select PIN code edit mode The item can be selected and determined as follows. "Settings" > "Detailed Settings" > "PIN Code Edit" To select the item, turn the Control knob. To determine the item, press the Control knob. 4 Input the PIN code Operation type Select the numbers. Move to the next digit. Delete the last digit. Transmit the PIN code. Operation Turn the Control knob. Push the Control knob towards right. Push the Control knob towards left. Press the Control knob. If "Completed" is displayed, registration is complete. 5 Exit Bluetooth mode Press the [SRC] button. ⁄ • By default, "0000" is specified. • A PIN code can be specified with up to eight digits.
