Tuning by program type (PTY search) 20 This function lets you set the tuner to automatically search for stations which are currently broadcasting the type of program (genre) you want to listen to. Under certain receiving conditions, it may take more than 1 minute to complete the search. If no PTY data is available, or if the station is not an RDS station, "NONE" is displayed. 2 While the "PTY" indicator is lit, use the MULTI CONTROL to select the program type of your choice. Reserving the desired information When the receiver is tuned to a RDS EON station (a station at which the EON indicator lights up), this function lets you set the receiver to automatically switch stations to receive news or traffic programs as they are broadcast.
