For example, each press of [LSB/ USB/ AUTO] switches between LSB and USB modes. u If you have selected FM, turn the MAIN SQL control clockwise until the background noise is just eliminated; the MAIN band LED (above the [MIC/ CAR] key) turns off. • With LSB or USB selected, skip this step. i Turn the Tuning control to tune in a station. • If you do not hear any stations, you may have the wrong antenna connector selected. Press [FUNC], [AT/ ANT1/2] to switch between the antenna 1 and 2 connectors. If it has not, press [A/B] to select VFO A. r Turn the MAIN AF control slowly clockwise until you hear a suitable level of background noise. t Press [+]/ [-] to select an HF/ 50 MHz Amateur radio band. 4
