2 Taking Pictures Before you take pictures, make sure there is a COMPACTFLASH Card in the camera, the Mode dial is turned to Capture , and the camera is on. Taking a Picture 1 Center the subject in the viewfinder or use Shutter button Preview (page 15). Viewfinder 2 Press the Shutter button half-way to lock in the auto-focus and exposure. The viewfinder light glows green. 3 Press the Shutter button completely down to take the picture. EasyShare Viewfinder light Card access light The green card access light flashes. In the Status Display, the frame counter blinks and displays the number of pictures remaining. This number can change depending on resolution and card capacity. The Automatic QuickView feature displays the picture in the LCD screen (page 14). 13
