Chapter 6 Resetting User Settings The Reset User Settings feature allows you to return most Capture menu settings to the original factory defaults each time the camera is turned off. See page 77 for a list of the original factory defaults. 1 Turn the Mode dial to Setup . 2 Highlight the Reset User Settings menu , then press Select. 3 Highlight the Reset setting you want to use. Yes-every time the camera is turned off, most Capture menu settings are returned to the original factory defaults. No (default)-when the camera is turned off, your customized settings are retained. 4 Press Select. This setting remains until you change it. Viewing Camera Information Use the About feature to find your camera name and model and the firmware version (camera's internal software). This information is especially helpful if you need to call for service on your camera. 1 Turn the Mode dial to Setup . 2 Highlight the About Camera menu , then press Select. The information that appears is view-only. 3 Press Select. See page 84 for how to upgrade your camera with the latest firmware. 48
