Taking pictures and videos Setting Icon White Balance Choose your lighting condition. This setting remains until you change modes or turn off the camera.* Options AUTO (default)-automatically corrects white balance. Ideal for general picture-taking. WEAK AUTO-without adjusting the white balance, retains the color makeup of the light source and creates pictures with atmosphere (available only in Custom mode). DAYLIGHT-for taking pictures under bright sunlight. OPEN SHADE-(available only in Custom mode) for taking pictures in shadows. FLUORESCENT-prevents the picture from being greenish under fluorescent lighting. Ideal for indoor pictures under fluorescent lighting without flash. TUNGSTEN- prevents the picture from being reddish under household light bulbs. Ideal for indoor pictures under tungsten or halogen lighting without flash.
