Using the Fax Function Important ❒ This function is supported by Win- dows 2000/XP/Vista and Windows Server 2003/2003 R2/2008. English BPC400S Connecting to a Telephone Line You can connect the machine to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) directly or through a private branch exchange (PBX). Also, you can connect an external telephone to use the same telephone line for voice calls. R CAUTION: • : To reduce the risk of fire, use only No. 26 AWG or larg- er telecommunication line cord.
