DTV Signal, Degaussing the Screen

DTV Signal Lets you know how strong your DTV signal is and whether you need to adjust your antenna or digital cable input. The higher the signal strength, the less likely you are to experience degradation. Using the SIGNAL button 1 Press the SIGNAL button on the remote control. 2 View the on-screen signal strength monitor to see the quality of the signal being received. 3 Press exit button to return to TV viewing. Using the menu 1 Press the MENU button on the remote control, then use the UP/DOWN arrow button to select the SETUP menu. 2 Press the RIGHT arrow button to access the SETUP menu. 3 Use the UP/DOWN arrow to select the DTV Signal. Current signal strength is shown on menu. 4 Press EXIT button to return to TV viewing. Degaussing the Screen The magnetic field of the earth may affect the color purity of the picture and other magnetic influences nearby may also have an affect on color purity. Even the installation direction of the TV set may affect color purity. Stripes may appear on the screen or the color may not be equal in the corners. You can restore color quality by operating the Degauss. 1 Press the MENU button on the remote control, then use the UP/DOWN arrow button to select the SETUP menu. 2 Press the RIGHT arrow button to access the SETUP menu. 3 Use the UP/DOWN arrow button to select Degauss, then press the RIGHT arrow button to perform the Degauss function. 4 Press EXIT button to return to TV viewing or press MENU button to return to the previous menu. PAGE 22 NOT all areas or programs are currently available with Digital DTV signals. Select the DTV in Input Source on the menu, to check the DTV signal. If you are unable to correct problem by degaussing, try again after about 4 minutes.
