5. Press the cover-release button on the top of the computer cover, slide the computer cover to the rear, and remove it. If your computer has screws that secure the computer cover, remove the screws, and then remove the computer cover. Figure 6. To obtain a copy of the ThinkCentre Safety and Warranty Guide, go to: http://www.lenovo.com/support This section provides instructions on how to access the system board components and drives. You might have to remove the drive bay assembly to access the system board components, such as memory modules and battery. To access the system board components and drives: 1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer. 2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 16.
