Remove the 7 screws that secure the heat sink and system fan to the system board and LCD panel bracket 1 . 3. Disconnect the system fan cable from the system board 2 . Pull the heat sink and system fan away from the system board. 1 2 4 2 3 1 4. Align the 7 screw holes on the new heat sink and system fan to the 7 mounting holes on the chassis. 5. Insert and tighten the 7 screws to secure the heat sink and system fan. 6. Connect the system fan cable to the system board. 7. Install the computer cover. Refer to "Completing the installation". 38

Replacing the heat sink and system fan
To replace the heat sink and system fan
1.
Remove the computer cover. Refer to “Removing the computer cover”.

Remove the 7 screws that secure the heat sink and system fan to the
system board and LCD panel bracket

Disconnect the system fan cable from the system board

. Pull the
heat sink and system fan away from the system board.

Align the 7 screw holes on the new heat sink and system fan to the 7
mounting holes on the chassis.
5.
Insert and tighten the 7 screws to secure the heat sink and system fan.
6.
Connect the system fan cable to the system board.
7.
Install the computer cover. Refer to ”Completing the installation“.
