Chapter 7. Replacing hardware Replacing the Inverter board To replace the inverter board 1. Remove the computer cover. Refer to "Removing the computer cover". 2. Remove the two screws that secure the inverter board to the LCD panel bracket 1 . 3. Disconnect the inverter board cables from the inverter board 2 . 4. Disconnect the inverter board power cable from the system board 3 . 2 1 2 1 2 4 2 3 3 1 5. Pull the inverter board away from the LCD panel bracket. 6. Align then insert the new inverter board to the LCD panel bracket. 7. Screw back the two screws on the inverter board. 8. Connect the inverter board cable to the inverter board. 9. Connect the inverter board power cable to the system board. 10. Install the computer cover. Refer to "Completing the installation". 39

Replacing the Inverter board
To replace the inverter board
1.
Remove the computer cover. Refer to “Removing the computer cover“.
2.
Remove the two screws that secure the inverter board to the LCD
panel bracket

3.
Disconnect the inverter board cables from the inverter board

4.
Disconnect the inverter board power cable from the system board

Pull the inverter board away from the LCD panel bracket.
6.
Align then insert the new inverter board to the LCD panel bracket.
7.
Screw back the two screws on the inverter board.
8.
Connect the inverter board cable to the inverter board.
9.
Connect the inverter board power cable to the system board.
10. Install the computer cover. Refer to ”Completing the installation“.
