Table 2-3 Error Symptoms List Error Symptoms Action/FRU NOTE: To diagnose a problem, first find the error symptom in the left column. If directed to a check procedure, replace the FRU indicated in the check procedure. If no check procedure is indicated, the first Action/FRU listed in right column is the most likely cause. CD-ROM drive LED flashes for more than 30 seconds before LED shutting off. Software asks to reinstall disc. CD may have dirt or foreign material on it. Check with a known good disc. CD is not inserted properly. CD is damaged. Software displays a reading CD error. CD-ROM drive LED doesn't CD-ROM drive come on but works normally.
