Installing a Follow the instructions in this section to firmware card install a firmware card. Note: Firmware cards designed for other Lexmark printers may not work with your printer. Warning! Firmware cards are easily damaged by static electricity. Touch something metal on the printer before you touch a card. Pins If an option card has been installed, you must remove it before installing the firmware card. If you have a Lexmark C750in, an ImageQuick™ firmware card is already installed. 1 Remove the system board access cover (see page 22). 2 Unpack the firmware card. Avoid touching the metal pins on the bottom of the card. Save the packaging. System board holes 3 Holding the card by its sides, align the pins on the card with the holes on the system board. 4 Push the firmware card firmly into place. The entire length of the connector on the firmware card must touch the system board. Be careful not to damage the card's connectors. Install memory and option cards 25
