Grounding the Chassis The UC 540 chassis must be reliably grounded with a supplementary ground wire to comply with the relevant product safety standards. This supplementary ground is in addition to the ground connection made by the power cord. For the supplementary ground connection, use size 14 AWG (2 mm) or larger copper wire and an appropriate user-supplied ring terminal with an inner diameter of 1/4 inch (5 to 7 mm).
