4 Linksys One Communications Solution The PHONE port and LINE port LEDs act the same way. By default, a solid green indicates the port is online and ready. The port blinks green when it is in use. When a request to release the port is made, the port LED changes to a fluttering green. Once the request is complete, the port LED changes back to a solid green. In almost all cases, this happens so fast that you will not see the flutter unless the audio server takes a long time or is no longer running. As a general rule, a red LED indicates there is some kind of error. If you try to seize the line and choose "do not detect dial tone," the port LED changes to a fluttering red to indicate an error.
