MS-6728 ATX Mainboard Serial ATA /Serial ATA RAID Connectors controlled by Promise 20378: IDE3, SATA3 & SATA4 (Optional) The brand new Promise 20378 chipset supports one IDE connector IDE3 and two serial connectors SATA1& SATA2. IDE3 is a 32-bit Enhanced PCI IDE and Ultra DMA 66/100/133 controller that provides PIO mode 0~6, Bus Master, and Ultra DMA 66/100/133 function. You can connect up to 2 hard disk drives---one IDE master and one IDE slave. And STAT3 & SATA4 are dual high-speed Serial ATA interface ports. Each supports 1st generation serial ATA data rates of 150 MB/s. Both connectors are fully compliant with Serial ATA 1.0 specifications. Each Serial ATA connector can connect to 1 hard disk device.
