BIOS Setup Onboard FDC Controller Select [Enabled] if your system has a floppy disk controller (FDD) installed on the system board and you wish to use it. If you install add-on FDC or the system has no floppy drive, select [Disabled] in this field. The settings are: [Enabled], [Disabled]. Onboard Serial Port 1 Select an address and corresponding interrupt for the first serial port. The settings are: [3F8/IRQ4], [2E8/IRQ3], [3E8/IRQ4], [2F8/IRQ3], [Disabled], [Auto]. IR Function Select This setting allows you to specify the operation mode for serial port 2. Setting options: [IrDA], [ASKIR], [Disabled]. [Disabled] RS-232C Serial Port [IrDA] IrDA-compliant Serial Infrared Port [ASKIR] Amplitude Shift Keyed Infrared Port RxD, TxD Active This setting controls the receiving and transmitting speed of the IR peripheral in use. Setting options: [Hi,Hi], [Hi,Lo], [Lo,Hi], [Lo,Lo]. IR Transmission Delay This setting determines whether the IR transmission rate will be delayed while converting to receiving mode. Setting options: [Disabled], [Enabled]. UR2 Duplex Mode This setting controls the operating mode of IR transmission/reception. Setting options: [Full], [Half]. Under [Full] Duplex mode, synchronous, bi-directional transmission/reception is allowed. Under [Half] Duplex mode, only asynchronous, bi-directional transmission/reception is allowed. Use IR Pins Please consult your IR peripheral documentation to select the correct setting of the TxD and RxD signals. Setting options: [RxD2/TxD2], [IR-Rx2Tx2]. 3-15
