If you are not using the COAXIAL jack, no adjustment is necessary. 1 Press SYSTEM MENU. 2 The General Setup Page will be selected. Press OK or 4. 3 Press 4 repeatedly to select SPDIF Output, then press 2. 2-4 4 Press 3 or 4 to select SPDIF Off, SPDIF/RAW, PCM/48K or PCM/96K, then press OK. Choose SPDIF/RAW to select the original default audio settings as received by most Stereos. However, if the sound is distorted, your Stereo may need to receive audio in the PCM format (pulse code modulation, contains only left and right audio signals). Discs are recorded in a certain sampling rate. The higher the sampling rate, the better the sound quality. Some Discs are recorded in a high sampling rate of 96KHz. Select PCM/96K if you are playing Discs recorded at this high rate. Otherwise, select PCM/48K. Choose PCM/48K or PCM/96K only if your Stereo is PCMcompatible. Or, if your Stereo cannot decode MPEG-2 or DTS audio, choose SPDIF/RAW. Refer to your Stereo owner's manual for details. 1,5 - - General Setup Page - - TV Display Angle Mark OSD Lang SPDIF Output Captions Program Screen Saver SPDIF Off SPDIF/RAW PCM/48K PCM/96K RAW Data Via SPDIF 5 Press SYSTEM MENU to remove the menus.
