Let's Look Inside! USING THE AUDIO/VIDEO (MONITOR) OUTPUT JACKS The Audio/Video (Monitor) Output jacks are great for recording with a VCR or for use with an external audio system. 1 For an external audio system, connect audio cables to the R(ight) and L(eft) AUDIO (Monitor Out) jacks on the TV and to the Right and Left audio input jacks on your amplifier or sound system. Set the audio system's volume to a normal listening level. 2 Turn on the TV and the audio system. You can hear TV sound at the audio system. Adjust the volume at the audio system to a comfortable listening level. To connect a second VCR for recording: 3 Connect one end of the yellow Video cable to the TV's Monitor Out VIDEO jack. Connect the other end of the cable to the VIDEO IN jack on the second VCR. 4 Connect the red and white Audio cables to the TV's Monitor Out AUDIO L and R jacks and to the AUDIO IN jacks on the VCR. 5 Turn on the VCR. Insert a blank VHS tape and it's ready to record what's being viewed on the TV screen. he Audio/Video (Monitor) Output jacks

For an external audio system, con-
nect audio cables to the R(ight) and
L(eft) AUDIO (Monitor Out)
jacks
on the TV and to the Right and Left
audio input jacks on your amplifier or
sound system. Set the audio system’s
volume to a normal listening level.

Turn on the TV and the audio sys-
tem.
You can hear TV sound at the
audio system. Adjust the volume at the
audio system to a comfortable listening

To connect a second VCR for recording:

Connect one end of the yellow Video
cable
to the TV’s Monitor Out VIDEO
jack. Connect the other end of the
cable to the VIDEO IN jack on the sec-
ond VCR.

Connect the red and white Audio
cables
to the TV’s Monitor Out
AUDIO L and R jacks and to the
AUDIO IN jacks on the VCR.

Turn on the VCR. Insert a blank VHS
tape and it’s ready to record what’s
being viewed on the TV screen.
