Installation Leveling the washer To ensure smooth operation the washer must be level. Failure to level the machine can result in increased water and energy consumption, loud noises during the spin cycle or "walking" across the floor during use. Adjust the four leveling feet The washer is leveled by adjusting the four feet. The machine is delivered with all four feet completely screwed in. ^ Tip the machine slightly and place a support, such as a block of wood, underneath it. ,CAUTION: The washer is extremely heavy. When tipping the machine be careful that it does not slip. ^ Loosen the locking ring, 2, with the supplied wrench. ^ Unscrew each of the four feet as much as necessary by turning both the foot, 1, and locking ring, 2, to the left. ^ Remove the support and stand the machine on its feet. ^ Check that the machine stands level. ^ Repeat the above procedure until the machine stands level. ^ Once level, hold the foot, 1, immobile with a wrench. At the same time, turn the locking ring, 2, to the right using another wrench. ,All four locking rings must be tight against the bottom of the machine. In addition, check to see that the feet were not inadvertently unscrewed while tightening the rings. Operating a machine that is not level or whose feet are not tight may cause damage to both the machine and its surroundings. 48

Leveling the washer
