Use these text entry keys: text entry delete Press the back key (À). start a new line Press the enter key (j). enter capital letters Press the shift key (k). Press it once for just the next letter or twice for all letters. enter Press the function key (H) and symbols, etc. then the shift key (k). text prediction As you enter letters, your phone might try to predict the word. For instance, when you enter "prog," it might predict "program." To select a prediction, press down on the navigation key (S) to highlight your selection and then press the center select key (s). To enter a space after your 20 essentials characters instead of using the predicted text, press the space bar. To turn off text prediction: 1 From the home screen, press the left soft key (-) (Start). 2 Use the thumb wheel to scroll to Settings and press the thumb wheel or center select key (s) to select it. 3 Scroll to Text Input Settings and press the center select key (s). 4 Uncheck Suggest words when typing, and press the left soft key (-) (Done).
