using Bluetooth To use Bluetooth to link to a network: Note: You must have a computer that has Bluetooth capabilities for modem link. 1 On your phone, make sure Bluetooth is turned on. 2 On your computer, launch the Bluetooth devices applet from the task bar. Note: Not all computers have the same procedure to locate the Bluetooth window and set up dial-up networking. 3 On your computer, in the Bluetooth window menu bar, select the "Connections" menu, "Dial-up Networking" and then "Find devices." 4 The computer finds your phone and displays the dial up networking window. using a cable To use a USB cable with your phone to connect with modem link to a network, first install networking drivers onto your computer: 1 Place the provided Companion CD into the CD Drive on your computer. The Companion CD Installation wizard window automatically displays. 2 On your computer, click "Applications" and then "Dial-Up Networking Software." 3 Follow the prompts as directed to install the drivers onto your computer. Next, enable modem link on your phone and install phone drivers: 1 On your phone, press the left soft key (-) (Start). 2 Use the thumb wheel to scroll to Accessories and press the thumb wheel or center select key (s) to select it. connections 97
