2 Use the thumb wheel to scroll to ActiveSync and press the thumb wheel or center select key (s) to select it. 3 Press the right soft key (+) (Menu), select Add Server Source, and press the center select key (s). 4 Enter the following information when prompted: • Enter your e-mail address, select Attempt to detect the Exchange Server settings automatically, and press the right soft key (+) (Next). • If you did not choose to let ActiveSync detect the exchange server settings automatically, at Server Address, enter the exchange server address. If appropriate, select This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection. (To obtain the SSL certificate, contact your company's IT department.) Press the right soft key (+) (Next). • In User Name, enter your user name for the e-mail account. • In Password, enter the password for the account. • In Domain, enter the server's domain name (if necessary). Tip: If you don't want to enter your password each time you synchronize, check Save Password. 5 Press the right soft key (+) (Next). 6 Choose the things you want to synchronize, such as Contacts, Calendar, Email, and Tasks. 7 Press the left soft key (-) (Finish). 8 Press the left soft key (-) (Sync) to synchronize your phone with the Exchange server. e-mail & messages 67
