When you enter three or more characters in a row, your phone may guess the rest of the word. For example, if you enter prog, you might see: 5O\ Ug Msg uôÉ 143 This is a prog ram Select Cancel Press S right to accept Program, or press * to reject it and enter a space after prog. If you want a different word, continue pressing keys to enter the remaining characters. • The first character of every sentence is capitalized. If necessary, press S down to change the character to lowercase before the cursor moves to the next position. • Press S to move the flashing cursor to enter or edit message text. • If you don't want to save your text or text edits, press O to exit without saving. iTAP® method The iTAP method lets you enter words using one key press per letter. The iTAP software combines your key presses into common words, and predicts each word as you enter it. 1 Press keypad keys to show possible letter combinations at the bottom of the screen. 2 Scroll left or right to highlight the combination you want. 3 Press Select to lock a highlighted combination. basics 31
