The Shutter-release Button Press halfway To set focus and exposure (shutter speed and aperture value), press the shutter-release button lightly until you feel a slight resistance. Focus and exposure remain locked while the shutter-release button is pressed halfway. Press all the way Press the shutter-release button all the way to release the shutter and take an image. Do not use force when pressing the shutterrelease button, as this may result in camera shake and blurred images. Press the button gently. B Notes About Saving Images and Recording Movies The indicator showing the number of exposures remaining or the indicator showing the maximum movie length flashes while images are being saved or while a movie is being recorded. Do not open the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover or remove the battery or memory card while an indicator is flashing.
