Problem Cause/Solution A Bright specks appear in The flash is reflecting off particles in the air. Set the images captured with flash. flash mode setting to W (off). Flash does not fire. • The flash mode is set to W (off). • A scene mode that restricts the flash is selected. • On is selected for Blink proof in the smart portrait menu. • A function that restricts the flash is enabled. • Digital zoom is set to Off in the setup menu. • Digital zoom cannot be used in the following situations: - When Portrait, Night portrait, or Pet Digital zoom cannot be used. portrait scene mode is selected - When smart portrait mode is selected - When Continuous is set to Multi-shot 16 in A (auto) mode - When AF area mode is set to Subject tracking in A (auto) mode 46 46 51 55 56 74, E67 33 40 54, E33 54, E37 Image mode not available. A function that restricts Image mode is enabled. 56 No sound when the shutter is released. • Off is selected for Shutter sound in the Sound settings setup menu. No sound is produced with some shooting modes and settings, even when On is selected. • The speaker is blocked. Do not cover the speaker. 74, E68 2, 24 AF-assist illuminator does not light. Off is selected for AF assist in the setup menu.
