Basic operation This section covers basic procedures in i-TTL mode in combination with a CLScompatible camera. i-TTL mode enables you to easily take flash photography with well balanced lighting. STEP 1 Inserting the batteries Slide the battery chamber lid open. C Insert the batteries following the [+] and [-] marks as shown. Close the battery chamber lid. Operation Suitable batteries Insert four AA-type penlight batteries of any of the following types: Alkaline-manganese (1.5 V) Lithium (1.5 V) Oxyride™ (1.5 V) Ni-MH (Nickel Metal Hydride) (1.2 V) • When replacing batteries, use fresh batteries of the same brand. • For more on batteries, refer to "Batteries" and "Notes on batteries." Slide the battery chamber lid
open.
Insert the batteries following the
[+] and [-] marks as shown.
Close the battery chamber lid.
