Auto aperture flash The SB-900's built-in sensor measures the flash illumination reflected from the subject and controls the flash output in combination with data automatically transmitted from the camera and lens to the SB-900, including the ISO sensitivity value, the exposure compensation value, the aperture and focal length of the lens. Setting the Auto aperture flash mode Auto aperture flash can be changed to Non-TTL auto flash (kD-8) by using the custom setting. (kC-22) • The default setting is Auto aperture flash (with monitor pre-flashes). • When no aperture information is transmitted from camera to the SB-900, flash mode is automatically set to Non-TTL auto flash.
